How meditation helps in achieving good health

Meditation is a part of yoga and directly or indirectly practiced in spiritual practices of almost all religions. In fact every other spiritual practice are designed to deepen and intensify the effects of meditation. No wonder in the significance the meditation holds in spiritual and wellness practices. Meditation offers innumerable benefits to uplift body, mind and soul. Here, I would like to give you sneak peaks of the effects of meditation in the body.


Knowing the effects of meditation in the body helps in:

  • Enhancing awareness

  • Kicks of procrastination of meditation

  • Improves enthusiasm in meditations.

Why should you meditate when you are sick?

Body requires additional energy for the healing process besides energy spent for digestion, excretion and other involuntary physiological activities. Redirecting the energy spent on voluntary activities to the body will have a positive impact on health and recovery.


Meditation for body:

  1. Bring focus

  2. Maintain focus

  3. Beat the distractions with affirmations.

  4. Enjoy the focus

  5. Relax and revive

1.Bring focus:

Close your eyes and direct all your focus to the body. Start observing the rate of heart beat, breath, organs with insignificant pains and disturbances. Soon you will feel the energy flowing inside your body channels.


2. Maintain focus:

Just try to keep the focus on the flow of energy within your body

Curb the energy divertions by curbing all the voluntary actions.

Keep all your senses indulged in your heart of focus.

Allot devoted jobs for your sense organs to do to keep follow the energy in your body.


3. Beat the distractions with affirmations:

The senses are put into track. Now dealing with the most powerful and energy consuming tool - the mind. The mind is keen on distracting focus. Distractions can be classified into three:

  • Regrets from the past

  • Anxious about future

  • Worried on present.

Finding solutions for all the three is the only way to tame the mind. Taming he mind is one another art and will discuss in detail. But for now lets concentrate to keep it away from consuming energy to facilitate more flow of energy to ur body. The enormous energy supply speeds up your healing process. Just give the body the energy it deserves and witness the power of body and wonders of nature.


To keep the mind from consuming energy stop reacting to the thoughts and reply with affirmations you wish. Within few moments your mind starts reacting tot the affirmations giving peace and contentment.


4. Enjoy your focus:

As soon as your mind is still, the focus and meditation will be lighter for you. Start enjoying the inner peace, the soul energy which is striving to keep you alive and the greatness as a living being.


5. Relax and revive:

It's time to keep your body relaxed. You will feel it more deeper when you are connected with your inner self. Your breath would have already become deeper in the above process. Pose yourselves as a receiver. Experience the abundant flow of prana(energy) inside you through your breath.


Duration of meditation :

The actual meditation begins when your breath becomes slow and deep without interference. Minimum of ten minutes after that would suffice. Total of 15 to 20 minutes will be needed.
